Political Economics Research Center

Political Economy Research Center, which was founded jointly by Ministry of Education and Nankai University in December 2000, is a key research center of humanities and social science in China. Focusing on the basic theory of economics and with the spirit of innovation , it researches and explores the significant theoretical issues raised in the development process of capitalist and socialist society, especially in the constructive practice of socialism with Chinese characters. The major direction of this center is the socialist economic theory and modern capitalist economics theory . Now it has 12full-time and 10 parttime researchers. The major academic leaders are: Prof. Pang Jinju, Prof. Zhou Liqun, Prof. Liu Xin, Prof. Chen Zongsheng, Prof. He zili, etc..

Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) Research Center

Nankai Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) Research Center(NASC) is a national policy consulting and research center, which was officially approved in March 1995 by National Education Commission and founded by Ministry of Education.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce, under the spirits of ¡°the APEC leaders ¡® educational proposals¡±. The incumbent director is Gong Zhankui, professor of economics and doctoral student advisor. The honorary director is LiZhaoxing, the ex-minister of Ministry of Foreign Affars. There are also nearly 40 full-time and part-time researchers. It is one of the university research institutes that was first selected into the key research center of humanities and social science by Ministry of Education.

Since its founding, the center actively makes best use of its functions, organizes and coordinates national APEC-related researches, constructs national academic teams, invites advanced officials as part-time professors, carries out academic exchanges with other members of APEC research institutes and takes part in or holds all kind of academic seminars so that it has gradually formed its own characters in practiced and gotten some achievements with theoretical and academic values.

Multinational Corporation Research Center

As one of the most influential research centers, Multinational Corporation Research Center was founded in August 1992 and was approved as the national key research center of humanities and social science in university by Ministry of Education in September 2000.Now it has 12full-time researchers,11 doctoral student advisors and 13 part-time researchers.

As a national research center for multinational corporations and with the aim of establishing an international top-ranking research center, it closely follows the development of multinational corporations and publishes lots of influential research results. It also pays great attention to the academic and talent exchange at home and abroad, continuously strengthens the cooperation in every aspect with some well-known international institutes, universities and government departments and gets information about the latest theories and policies of multinational companies so as to raise the research level and enhance its capability of supplying the consulting services for China¡¯s strategic development.
